Casting for

Cabaret

at The Players Theatre 115 MacDougal Street NYC 10012

Show dates are March 11th through March 28th 2010 (Thurs-Sun)

 

Seeking All roles.  Emcee- Strong Singer/Dancer/Actor - Ambiguous sexuality and stunning charisma.  German Accent

Cliff - American writer in Germany, A stranger in a strange land, Strong Actor who can sing,

Ernst - German smuggler, Everyone's friend and a natural seducer.  Strong Actor with German Accent

Herr Schultz - Older Jewish man.  Warm and open, needs to be loved by the audience immediately.  Character actor and voice.  Jewish Accent

Sally Bowles - English Accent.  Must be talented enough to convince us she is not that talented.  Cabaret Star.  Strong Actor/Singer/Dancer

Fraulein Schneider - Love Interest of Schultz, German accent.  Must be able to be keep array of emotions under the surface until it comes bursting out.

Fraulein Kost- German Accent.  Promiscuous, Strong Actor.

Kit Kat Boys - 6-8 boys to play waiters, sailors the ensemble.  Strong Dancers/Singers.  Willing to be shirtless

Kit Kat Girls - 6-8 Girls who are Strong dancers.  Girls who can play instruments encouraged to attend auditions with a prepared piece on that instrument (no guitars) Kit-Kat girls may be provocatively dressed.

Jan 25th 11am-2pm, Jan 26th 11am-2pm

Callbacks Jan 28th 6pm

Some Pay

Please prepare a 16 selection from contemporary musical theatre, no rock.
